New Haven Compact; Landowner. He married 1638 Joan/Joanna Allen, born about 1615 at Lynn, England. Aged 20 in 1635. She had a brother Bozoun Allen, a mercer, who came with his wife and family from Lynn, Co. Norfolk, England in 1638 in the ship "Diligent" and settled at Hingham, Ma., then removed to Boston, Suffolk Co., Ma. Her brother William's will, 1648 London, Eng., mentions brother Bozoun and sisters Elizabeth Burcham and Joanna Peck. Joanna Allen married 2nd Andrew Low.
