Immigrant in the "Mary and John" 1634

Richard Bartlett, shoemaker, son of Edmund/Edward Barttelot, Esq., born 1575 Wiltshire, Co. Kent, England, settled at Bartletts Cove at Newberry, Ma.in 1635 where he died 25 May 1647, his will was proven 29 September 1647. Richard came from Stopham, Sussex, England in the "Mary and John" in 1634 and settled at Newberry Ma. In 1612 he purchased a "breeches bible" in which the birth of his children is recorded.

Christopher b. 25 Feb 1623, d. 15 March 1669/70 aged 47, md 1st, 1645, Mary (d. 1661) and had ch. Mary d.y., Ann, Martha, Christopher, Jno. d.y. He md 2nd, 1663, Mary Hoyt, prob dau of John and Frances Hoyt of Salisbury and had ch. John d.y.

Richard had brothers that also came to America.
John settled in Newbury, Ma., tanner, freeman 1637, d. 13 Apr 1678, md Joane and had son John.
Thomas b. bet. 1580 and 1590, came to America and settled at Watertown, Ma.
