Enoch D. Doxsie declared his citizenship in Eaton Co. Michigan on 11 Nov. 1856.

Enoch D. Doxsie, son of John and Arsenith (Love) Doxsie, born Jan 11, 1812 Ont Prov., Canada, died Nov 13, 1895, [or 7 Nov 1895], age 84, married Feb 11, 1834 Julia Ann Rice, born May 21 1815, died July 23 1890. At the time of the marriage, both resided at Townsend Twp. Enoch and Julia are buried in the Blanchard Cemetery, 3rd and Cedar, Rolland Township, Blanchard, Michigan.
Enoch was a shoemaker in Dereham Twp., Oxford Co., in the 1852 Census.
Enoch D. Doxsie declared his citizenship in Eaton Co. Michigan on 11 Nov. 1856. He came from Canada in 1854. His name appears twice on a list of "overseers" of the highways for the twp of Norwich. Also, my friend Mary Pazurik of Canada gave me the following: 'persons arrested and imprisoned at Toronto on a charge of insurrection or treason.....5th Dec 1837 to 1st Nov 1838....Enoch D. Doxie, yeoman, Dec 20, 1837, Oct 1838, not tried, discharged on bail to keep the peace, and be of good behavior for three years.
