Abel Dortch. Of Mecklenburg Co., VA., born 1759, died 1835 Franklin Co., IL. He served as a Private in the Virginia Continental Troops. After the war he removed to Tennessee, and from there to Franklin Co., IL. Pensioned in Franklin Co., IL, 25 Sept 1833. Age 73. Pension # S-32221. This soldier is not listed in the new patriot index.
